#takecare individual artist

How does one make artistic work practice transparent and with what benefit? Julia Klockow starts an intensive research on the topic of dance mediation. The goal is to gather information and develop an initial concept for a mediation format. For Klockow, an enormous transformative power lies in the artistic process itself - an experience in which more people should participate.

The results will be published on this site starting in August 2021.

#take care is supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of NEUSTART KULTUR.

STRUCTURAL INITIATIVES IN THE FIELD OF DANCE MEDIATION

From 2016-2020, Tanzbüro Berlin strengthened the field of dance mediation with the module "mapping dance" berlin to support dance practitioners in testing mediation as part of or complementary to their artistic practice.

From October 2016 to May 2019, a total of 36 different formats were tested and implemented as part of mapping dance berlin. Starting with the 2019/2020 season, Tanzbüro Berlin entered the next phase with mapping dance berlin. With the aim of stabilization, selected formats were offered regularly throughout the season in cooperation with several venues.

The documentation of the 36 formats can be found in the brochures zuGang | movein 1 und 2 . ZuGang 2 also contains interviews with representatives of the participating venues on the formats of the continuation phase.

The presentation is not based on completeness. A digital networking platform for dance professionals in the field of dance education/cultural education could be a useful initiative for the future. A working group has already been formed within the framework of tanznetz|freiburg and bewegungs-art Freiburg e.V. One main focus of the TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund funding in Freiburg (2022-2024) is the topic of dance education.
